Jan Golembiski is a compassionate Master of Social Work graduate (MSW) and Florida Registered Clinical Social Work Intern (RCSWI) who brings nearly two decades of clinical, educational, and community outreach experience to Embody Therapy. Jan works with clients across the entire lifespan, providing individual therapeutic services using evidence-based interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Ketamine-Assisted Therapy, Eye Movement Integration™ (EMI™), and mindfulness techniques.

 

Jan’s clinical background spans mental health counseling, specialized dementia coaching, and interdisciplinary care coordination across all age ranges. Jan’s breadth of experience ranges from providing individual and group counseling to college students as a Masters Level Clinical Trainee at Florida Gulf Coast University’s CAPS Office to supporting geriatric clients, families, and caregivers through specialized dementia care and education. Jan’s work deeply emphasizes empowering clients at every stage of life, supporting family units, and conducting community training—including specialized education for first responders and regional healthcare providers.

 

Jan holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Florida Gulf Coast University—graduating with Phi Alpha Honor Society distinction—and a Bachelor of Science in Social Work from The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey. Jan is a Certified Dementia Practitioner and Certified Alzheimer’s Disease & Dementia Care Trainer, licensed as an LSW in Colorado and an RCSWI in Florida. During graduate school, Jan co-authored research alongside a professor, resulting in an article recently approved for print in Frontiers in Psychology.
